On May 9, 2026, a Zoom meeting was held dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the national Constitution of the Republic of Western Armenia. Speeches were delivered by the President of the Republic of Western Armenia, Mr. Armenag Aprahamian, the Speaker of the National Assembly Nelly Harutyunyan, and the Vice President of the National Council, Mrs. Lydia Margossian, whose speech was presented by the Government Spokesperson Shogher Bilemjyan, as well as other state and public figures, emphasizing the importance of the Constitution as the foundation of national identity, the rights of the indigenous people, and state continuity.
The participants noted that the Constitution is not only a legal document, but also a symbol of the Armenian people’s self-determination, justice, and historical memory. Special reference was made to the significance of May 9 as a day of victory, the liberation of Shushi, and national struggle.
During the meeting, words were spoken in memory of Armenian freedom fighters, Armenian heroes of the Second World War, and all Armenians who fought for the protection of national rights. The speeches also emphasized that the Constitution of the Republic of Western Armenia is based on international law, human rights, and the principles of self-determination of indigenous peoples.
At the end of the meeting, the participants reaffirmed the idea of national unity, justice, and the building of a peaceful state, congratulating the Armenian people on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Constitution.
