Mesrop Arakelyan, co-founder of the “Country to Live” party, warns that as a result of recent activity in the real estate market, Artsakh Armenians living in rented accommodation have once again found themselves in a vulnerable situation.

According to him, in many cases, property owners are evicting Artsakh Armenian tenants or sharply increasing rents because they have received higher offers.

According to Arakelyan, three years after the forced displacement from Artsakh, around 19,000 out of 120,000 Artsakh Armenians have acquired housing through state programs, amounting to approximately 16 percent. According to him, the housing problem of the remaining families continues to remain unresolved.

He accuses the authorities of failing to properly address the housing problem and calls on citizens who rent out housing to show understanding toward Artsakh Armenians and not deprive them of the opportunity to have a place to live during this difficult period.

According to the representative of the “Country to Live” party, ensuring dignified and stable living conditions for Artsakh Armenians in the Republic of Armenia remains an urgent issue.
