The Center for Countering Disinformation (DMM) of the Turkish Presidency’s Directorate of Communications has stated that no new restrictions, apart from those prescribed by law, have been imposed on the educational processes of national minority schools.

The authorities claim that minority schools allegedly continue their educational activities as usual. Nevertheless, the statement does not eliminate the concerns that have been raised for years regarding the educational rights of national minorities, including the Armenian community.

The statement was published on August 20, 2026.
