The discovery by archaeologists shows that the ancient Portasar structure in Western Armenia has a more complex structure than previously thought, and that it used sophisticated planning techniques that are impossible to imagine at the time. Studies of the three oldest stone vaults in Portasar have revealed that geometric patterns are hidden at the base of the entire architectural design of these structures, especially the equilateral triangle. This shows that the structure, which consists of three parts, was designed as a single unit and was probably built at the same time. In fact, it is revealed that the builders of Portasar understood the geometric principles thousands of years before the invention of the wheel, and were able to apply these principles in the construction project.
