On June 10, the 20th session of the National Assembly (Parliament) of the Republic of Western Armenia was held online, with the participation of 15 deputies.

During the session, a report was presented on the idea of ratifying the Treaty of Sèvres and its historical and legal significance. It was emphasized that June 22, legally established on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Western Armenia, Armenag Aprahamian, has been observed for ten years as the symbolic day of the ratification of the Treaty of Sèvres.

It was noted that the treaty continues to remain one of the fundamental documents of the historical rights of the Armenian people and plays an important role in preserving national memory.

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Nelli Harutyunyan, also presented the agenda of the 7th session of the 3rd convocation, scheduled for June 13. During the session, reports on the activities of parliamentary committees are expected to be presented, future programs will be discussed, and the Government’s report will be heard.

It was noted that the upcoming session will be held on Zoom and simultaneously broadcast live on Facebook, allowing compatriots to follow the discussions.

At the end of the meeting, President of the Republic of Western Armenia Armenag Aprahamian delivered a concluding speech, addressing issues of national importance and the need to ensure the continuity of state institutions.
