On April 22, 2026, the 14th session of the National Assembly (Parliament) of Western Armenia took place in an online format. Of the 53 elected deputies, 14 participated in the session. The meeting began at 21:30 and concluded at 22:35.
After the agenda was unanimously approved, the results of the April events and upcoming programs were discussed. On April 24, a commemorative ceremony was organized, during which the delegation and representatives marched together to the memorial complex to pay tribute to the victims of the genocide committed against Armenians.
It was also noted that on April 26, a documentary film screening took place as the beginning of a thematic series, which will continue with a question-and-answer session. On April 28, another visit to the memorial complex is planned, with the laying of flowers and expressions of gratitude to the countries that have recognized the genocide committed against Armenians.
Within the framework of the events, the importance of preserving national memory, unity, and patriotism was emphasized. Representatives stressed that the Armenian people, having overcome historical trials, continue their struggle while preserving their identity and defending their rights, while also emphasizing the importance of raising public awareness and developing legal initiatives.
At the end of the session, the President of the Republic of Western Armenia, Armenag Aprahamian, delivered a speech summarizing the discussions and highlighting the importance of future steps.
