New educational programs dedicated to the genocide committee against Armenians are being introduced in Armenian educational institutions across the United States. This was announced by journalist and television host Nune Simonyan in an interview with Alpha News.
According to her, there are approximately 22 Armenian schools operating in the United States. Most are located in California, while others are found in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and New York.
Simonyan noted that the topic of the genocide committee against Armenians holds an important place not only in school curricula but also in the work of Armenian Studies departments at several American universities.
In her assessment, these initiatives are systematic in nature and are embedded within broader educational policies.
At the same time, Simonyan addressed the process of school optimization in certain communities of Armenia, noting that it has become the subject of public discussion and differing interpretations.
She emphasized that organizing educational services in border and small communities raises concerns regarding various social and logistical challenges, particularly in relation to student transportation and access to education.
