The football team of Western Armenia participated in the “Conifa” football games, where it performed brilliantly not only with sporting results, but also with a national mission. The team members recorded success before the Artsakh 2019 tournament. They made their voices heard and inspired the solidarity of the people of Artsakh with victory. “Playing at Shahumyan Stadium and meeting our people was irreplaceable. Every moment was full of enthusiasm and patriotism,” said Armenag Aprahamian.
Football was not only a game for them, but also a reminder of their native land, Armenian identity and rights. According to Armenag Aprahamian, it is important to understand that the rights of the people of Western Armenia, as well as their statehood, have been historically recognized. Armenag Aprahamian emphasizes that since December 29, 1917, when the recognition of the right to statehood was recorded in the first Russian constitution, the Armenian state has been legally walking the path of development and strengthening.

The president emphasizes that the nation is obliged to preserve its rights, participate in its historical and political processes, as in the Artsakh war and on international platforms, and continue to struggle for the recognition of the statehood of Western Armenia. Football competitions became a platform not only for sporting successes, but also for the re-establishment of national identity and rights – a moment that shows that the aspiration of the Armenian people towards their historical land and state is impeccable and inviolable.
Armenag Aprahamian emphasizes that from December 29, 1917, when Russia recognized the right to self-determination, until the independence of the Armenians of Western Armenia, which was enshrined in the first Russian constitution, the Armenian state has walked the path of development and strengthening in a legal manner.
