Today, there are about 20 million Armenians in the region. This number shows not only the extent of our historical spread, but also it shows the powerful potential that the Armenian people maintain in different parts of the world. Our main strength is our people. With this realization, we are obliged to continue our work towards restoring and consolidating the roots of Armenians.
Despite the grave consequences of genocides and historical disasters, the Armenian people have remained standing. From 1894 to 1923, and even until the recent events in Artsakh, we have constantly faced challenges. However, our work continues, through the preservation and restoration of our identity.
Today, many Armenians live in Switzerland, France, Germany, Russia and elsewhere, often without speaking or understanding Armenian. However, the meaning of the language is not only in the words, but in the inner strength and sense of identity that unites us, regardless of geographical boundaries. Armenian is the sound of our spirit, the breath of our memory.
The restoration of our nation requires conscious unity. It is not a matter of party differences or political interests, but a natural process of the laws of nature and history. Our unity must be built on a national system of values, understanding that every Armenian, wherever they live, carries within them the same root.
Today, the population within the Republic of Armenia is small, but in the outside world, especially in Russia, Europe, and the Middle East, the number of Armenians is much larger. According to recent studies, the Armenians are genetically attributed to an ancestry of about 63 million.
History shows that our people have always found a way to survive, even in the most difficult times. In Kilikia, in order to maintain power, some Armenians even adopted other faiths, but they did not lose their identity. Today, we must also realize that remaining Armenian is not only a heritage, but also a responsibility.
Our mission is one: to restore and strengthen the united spirit of Armenians through speech, culture, and memory․
