On behalf of the “Arevi” Committee, we extend our greetings to the leaders of the Republic of Western Armenia, the National Assembly of Western Armenia, and the people of Western Armenia on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of the National Assembly of Western Armenia.

For more than a century, the people of Western Armenia have faced serious challenges in preserving their national identity, language, and culture. This historical process of assimilation and loss gradually began to change with the establishment of the Republic of Western Armenia and its National Assembly under the leadership of Armenag Aprahamian, becoming an expression of organized political and national consciousness. Today, we celebrate the 13th anniversary of this Parliament.

With the support of hostile self-interested states, the Ottoman Empire used its power to eliminate the Armenian population from their native homeland in Western Armenia through genocide, effectively leaving Armenia without Armenians.

Over the past 13 years, the activities of the National Assembly, along with its cooperation with Western Armenia TV, have been viewed as important initiatives for preserving cultural and national identity. This work can be regarded as a continuous effort to strengthen awareness and national memory.

We believe that through conscious, realistic, and diplomatic efforts, it is possible to continue advancing national goals while avoiding extremism and provocations. The path is not easy, but the strength born of national consciousness can overcome all obstacles.

Today, the Republic of Western Armenia and its National Assembly also serve as important platforms for awakening historical memory and promoting the international protection of rights.

Founded 13 years ago, our National Assembly aims to preserve and present issues related to the historical and legal heritage of Western Armenia, including the historical legacy of the 1920 Treaty of Sèvres.

Patriotism is difficult to define in words. It lives within a person through memory, feeling, and responsibility. As history has shown, for many people the homeland remains an irreplaceable value even from afar, and the dream of returning to it never fades.

Long live the Republic of Western Armenia.
