The 7th Plenary Session of the 3rd Convocation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Western Armenia – Part 1

The regular session of the National Assembly was held at the Yerevan Mission of the Republic of Western Armenia. The agenda of the session was presented by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Nelly Harutyunyan.

The opening address was delivered by the President of the Republic, Armenag Aprahamian, who spoke about the protection of the rights of the Armenian people, the preservation of national identity, and the importance of the right to self-determination. In his speech, the President emphasized that the Armenian people, having overcome severe historical hardships, remain faithful to their national and state aspirations and will never renounce their rights.

During the session, Nelly Harutyunyan introduced the candidates for membership in the National Assembly. Following the vote, Karo Karapetyan was elected as a Member of Parliament, after which a solemn oath-taking ceremony took place.

The session also introduced the committees of the National Assembly, including those on legal affairs, veterans and persons with disabilities, consular relations, education and science, economic and energy development, family, women, children and sports, genocide reparations, Artsakh, as well as other specialized committees.

The session was held in a constructive atmosphere, highlighting the continuity of efforts aimed at protecting national interests and developing state institutions.
