The 12th session of the National Assembly of Western Armenia, held on April 8, 2026, addressed important cultural events dedicated to the commemoration of the innocent victims of the genocide committed against the Armenian people. Thirteen deputies participated in the session via internet connection.

It was announced during the session that on April 26, a documentary film will be screened in the hall of the Yerevan Office of Western Armenia. The film presents the tragic events of the genocide and their impact on the fate of the Armenian people through historical facts, testimonies, and archival materials. The next screening will take place on April 28, from 11:30 to 12:30.

The event is open to everyone and aims not only to pay tribute to the memory of the two million victims but also to strengthen national identity and the importance of historical memory for future generations.

The President of the National Assembly, Mrs. Nelly Harutyunyan, concluded the session by emphasizing the significance of remembrance and education.
