In recent public speeches, attitudes are expressed  on  party position and national responsibility. Some have their own personal convictions, but when it comes to the party, individual opinion is considered secondary. This logic is also present in our political conversations, when the issue concerns patriotic duty and acceptable steps on the last fronts.

The mission in Artsakh is simple: to liberate and defend the territories, ensure the security and future of Armenians. We have historical memories of the Kilikian and other destinies, when diplomatic or military-political games involved our interests. This experience makes us vigilant towards the approaches of statehood and allies. The example of France and other countries has shown what guarantees and “use” can end up with, with unintended consequences.

Today’s challenge is that the issues of the Armenians of Artsakh and  Armenians of Western Armenia should be considered not only politically, but also legally and with clean public speech. The decisions of international courts, especially in cases where they are adopted in favor of Artsakh, should be used for our defense. We must respond and   take responsibility for the  steps  which aim  to guarantee the interests of our people.

We must be strict and demanding in the position of the authorities of the republic. If there are legal and political steps that may hinder our interests, we must speak out about them and demand an open and transparent discussion. Impunity and rhetoric only harm us.

Today, when our discussions are often entangled in one moment, it is necessary to simplify the facts and focus on two: legal actions and national unity. Let us reject the falsifications, strengthen our legal positions and cling to our national memory for the benefit of the future of Artsakh and Western Armenia.
