Within the framework of Women’s Month, the spokesperson of the Government of Western Armenia, Shogher Bilemjian, delivered a speech emphasizing the important role of women in the development of society and the preservation of peace.

The spokesperson noted that the struggle for women’s rights began as early as the 19th century, and that Armenian women have made a significant contribution to national life, both in educational and liberation movements. She also particularly highlighted the courage and self-sacrifice of women in the fedayi movement.

According to Shogher Bilemjian, in today’s conditions of regional tension, the only path to achieving peace is mutual respect and cooperation.

At the end of the speech, on behalf of the Government of Western Armenia, a congratulatory message was sent to the newly elected President of Iran, wishing him strength and resilience, as well as peace and security to all peoples of the world.
