During the session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Western Armenia, Deputy Marietta Dumikyan delivered a speech. She first congratulated Lydia Margossian on assuming the high office of Prime Minister, wishing her productive work and success in carrying out her responsible mission.
In her remarks, Marietta Dumikyan referred to the historical path of the Armenian people, noting that Armenians have lived in their ancestral homeland for millennia. She emphasized that, as a result of the policies of the Ottoman Empire and the authorities that succeeded Turkey, Western Armenia experienced genocide, expropriations, and serious demographic changes.
The deputy highlighted the importance of the activities of the National Assembly of the Republic of Western Armenia, noting that it bears responsibility for the protection of national rights, the unity of Armenians, and the just resolution of the Armenian Question. According to her, it is necessary to unite national potential, preserve historical heritage, and work for a dignified and secure future for the Armenian people.
At the conclusion of her speech, Marietta Dumikyan stressed that the Armenian people have an important mission: to be worthy bearers of their historical heritage and, through joint efforts, to achieve national goals.
