Today, many Armenians, including the majority of citizens of the Republic of Eastern Armenia, are Western Armenians by origin, yet this awareness often remains in the background.

In his speech, Vazgen Sislyan emphasized the need to reconsider the significance of Western Armenia and make it an important component of the pan-Armenian agenda. Every Armenian, he noted, should recognize their connection to the historical homeland and their role in achieving national goals.
